Timothy Vermeulen is a contemporary oil painter who paints self-portaiture works with psychological and social narrative themes.
His website is a portfolio of his sets of paintings and basic information. Designed with a bold yet simple and minimal aesthetic, the artwork is obviously highlighted. Colors are a gray, fitting with the feel of Tim's painting, and maroon/pink, for a warm and poignant accent feel. Diagonal pinstriped background, subtle gradients, and colored background areas help create interest and an important sense of depth without distracting the viewer from the artwork.
Coded entirely in XHTML 1.0 Strict with an efficiently developed Cascading Style Sheet makes this image centric website easy to load in any browser. Check out the nifty dual column lists.
